  1. Damn, that Japanese Arrow Flash cover is nice! Too bad the game lacks.
I've yet to receive my Otomedius X, it's arriving probably next week. I have a long way until I play it though, nothing less than 5 Parodius games in the line (Da!, Gokujyou, Jikkyou, Sexy and Gorgeous) hehehehe
And how's the gameplay in Soldner-X 2? Are you enjoying it?

  2. I played Soldner X2 quite a bit over the last yr on and off, but it's a game that rewards multiple plays. you unlock more levels, credits and find secret keys. The DLC is good from what i played, only 3 extra levels.

I'm still waiting for Eschatos.. Bullet Soul seems good, but Otomedius I'm going to leave for a later date. It's alot harder than Gorgeous and I only recently picked up that game.

Not playing much at the moment shmup wise.. been playing Little Big Planet mostly.

Still need to get Trouble Witches Neo and Yars' Revenge (I believe that's a Rail shooter?).

  3. I tried the demo for Yars's Revenge, and honestly I hated the controls. It's a rail shooter, but it feels like a simulator of sorts, you must aim at everything and you seem to use every single button in the controller. Not my cup of tea, really, so I passed!
There are more simple rail shooters on XBLA/XBLIG that are more fun, I liked one but I can't remember the name right now.... Didn't get it because it was like 400 MS points (it's not Leucistic Wyvern)
    :)
Trouble Witches Neo is great, it really impressed me.

  4. Ah maybe i'll give Yars' a miss then? I have to say i don't like buying download titles.. Strania I think I played 3 times... I just forget they are there unless I can see them.

I have Trouble Witches on PC but not played it too much. May just stick with that and save my money.

  5. Great pickups sir as we've already discussed on the RG forum, I will add that I think those Master System covers are great. I love the way Sega went for the minimalistic approach when it came to the design

  6. @Geoff - Yeah their design has certainly grown on me. I didn't own a SMS back in the day, so I was very anti-Sega. My how things have changed.
